Keep blowing speakers

I have a 2005 chevy cavalier...i recently put a precison power 650 (i belive) 4 channel amp rated at 50 watts rms x4 to run my interior speakers... i am now on my 3rd set of 6x9 and 4x6's with the amp gain turned at least half way down...what kind of speakers should i get to handle the full power of this amp? the 6x9s said they could handle 150 w rms but they blew and forget the 4x6's. Help i want something to make the vocals and guitars scream since i listen to alot of punk rock!

my reciver puts out around 80 watts x 6 (says its 100, but i've read otherwise). my computer speakers upstairs are these: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=264-810

since u say that your amp power is the problem, tell me why i haven't blown two 15 watt speakers that happen to be in quite efficient cabinets? because i ihave my settings right //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. it isn't the speakres or the amp, it's the user of the speakers and the amp.

it doesn't matter. the settings are what are killing him. he needs to turn the gain DOWN.

what are all you setting at on your h/u? do you have " super duper bass" on or anything?
