KDC x991 + 16gb pendrive

I used to have a 4gb pendrive for my x991 but now I got 16gb to get more music on there, but it seems that at random when I turn on the car the headunit will tell me No Device. I take the pendrive out and in again and it works.

Could it be the size of the pendrive? O maybe its just dirty?

Ok, I tried resetting the unit and the problem persists. Any other suggestions before I go out and buy an 8gb pendrive? xD I'd like to not spend any more cash for now.

Who cares what its called? Pendrive, thumbdrive, usb drive, flash memory. As long as it works...

Update the 991 from the Kenwood website. Software....it is free.

i use a 4gb and it does the same thing to me sometimes

on my 791, 2 of my 4gigs play fine 100% of the time. Then I have a 2gb that almost always requires me to re-plug whenever I start my car. From my experiences I'd say its definitely the drive and not the player

Well, I went ahead and upgraded to the latest firmware and haven't had trouble since then. I guess it fixed the issue.
