kdc-x891 display problem

The display on my hu randomly went out one day. It worked when I parked my car. I drove it a few days after and it worked. Went to drive it yesterday and only the buttons and lights work. The faceplate hasnt even been taken off. WTF is up??? Is there a place that can replace the display for cheap?

Had the same thing happen to my last Kenwood HU. Lucky for me I bought it through Crutchfield and got the extended warranty, I called and had a new one sent out to me.

Same thing happens on my X791. It has not happened in a while. I'm not sure what it is. I'm way past my warranty so once it goes new HU.

I had a cheap Kenwood cassette player deck, and the faceplate went out. I was at 14 mos...2 mos. out of warranty. Crutchfield didn't carry the model anymore so I was SOL.
