JVC AVX 710 - no sound problem

So, for the last 2 weeks, my unit has been shutting down when I put up the volume to about 50-60%. The power stays on but I cant get any sound from any speakers except for the sub. I have reset it numerous times but no luck. It only seems to work again randomly. Any ideas before I send this thing back to jvc??
