From what I can tell everyone is pretty loyal to Pioneer and Alpine.

I've got both and they're great but what is the downside to JVC

especially if you are using outboard amps? The Digifine MP3 units

(SH707 in particular) are less money and have the ability to shut down the

internal amp (like my Alpine 7892). SN and pre outs look as good as Alpine and MP3 access time is faster than Pioneer, from what I've read here.

Other models I'm considering are: Alpine 7894 ($80 More) & Pioneer DEH 7400MP.

Help me make the decision.

Jvc I have used are good for the money....they do lack in power, but give a good signal through remote wire to your amps...there are better hu's out there for sure, but jvc is a great cost effiecent hu....

I think JVC are pretty good decks. From my experience they last a long time and they play just about anything. That to me means alot.
