jvc headunit problem

Hey guys, i have a jvc-kdc 650 headunit. I never really played it loud until i recently got subwoofers. My problem is that at any volume and wether its in USB or AUX playin music it skips..skips and in a split second the music will stop n continue going. It sounds like an old cdplayer. I turned subs off, i disconnected them and still does it. Took it back out. Added a new ground, checked power and speaker wires and i thought i had it but 45 mins later it started again. Then it didnt do it for the whole ride home(another 45) itll do it randomly, maybe 6 or 7 times a song and thats every song and then stop. There brand new speakers (kicker 5.25) and i made sure there all in phase. I put these in last year tho but this just started once i started listeing to it loud. This is in a 96 jeep cherokee and i have a 160amp alt. Worse comes to worse il switch headunits from my car to this.
