Hi there. I'm searching for a head unit that has the functionality to fully turn off the display / illumination. Ideally it would be able to turn on temporarily (maybe 5 seconds) after pressing a button and then automatically turn off again. Does this exist? I'm having a hard time finding a single head unit that can do this. I've read quite a few complaints in reviews about overly bright head units at night even when dimmed all the way. I do most of my driving at night so this is important to me. I suppose I could always use some black electrical tape to cover it, but having the function built in is preferable. Thanks.
