ALWAYS let them hit you even if you gotta help them out alittle. If he would of pulled out infront of you you would of hit him in the rear corner. He would of got in trouble and not you. It is a no win situation no matter what you do. But right now....cop has no proof there was an explorer all he has is you smacking into another car.

Sucks. You definitely should have let that idiot hit you but I understand you were just trying to avoid an accident. It sucks that there's people like that on the road but there's really nothing you can do. There was nobody behind you or the explorer to verify your side of what happened to the police? Because if you even had one witness it would really help you. You also should have taken down the explorers license plate. Crappy situation.

Yea noway I could get the plate, i was trying to look for options to bail my car out while stomping the brakes. By the time it was over, I looked up over my crinkled hood and the explorer was long gone - probably knew he caused that, but was like F this i'm outta here!

And yea there was nobody really behind me close, it was busy traffic, but I was in a break in the action I suppose. Like seriously if I was going like 5 mph slower, or maybe faster - I would not have ran into that situation..

Shouldve let the guy hit you, wouldve been his fault then. Ofcourse the cars i drive tanks so i pretty much invite people to hit me if they want to pay for a new car. Dont have to worry about getting hurt, my doors are made from 12 gauge steel.

Yea. Hopefully I can get it fixed and they won't total it out...

There is a cross member that goes across right behind the lights and front assembly, I think it got it pretty good.

All these little things may add up... Hoping they don't as I love this car.

It really sucks, but he's right. You have no way to prove there even was an explorer ya know? You could just be making that shit up to get out of the ticket, the cop doesn't know.

That really sucks though. In that kind of situation it's just basic instinct to try and get out of the way and avoid an accident...
