Just to make sure.

Thanks

I really like a set-up I have put togather...Except, I got a few questions about it, And if its not going to work out..I will have to change it.

If I have 400 RMS mono amp going to 1 300 RMS sub...And set the gain low..Will my sub work well? Or will it still have to much power?

Also, How will the Type-R components sound without a amp?.. It wont be forever..But for a few months, Until I get more money for a separate amp.

Also..Is it better to have a mono amp and another amp for speakers..Or just a multi channel?

Nope, the sub will work well. As long as the power is clean, it shouldn't have trouble getting more than rated RMS.

They will sound way more flat than they do with an amp.

It's not going to matter much for what you want to accomplish. I used to run a single 4 channel for my front stage and sub until I got a mono amp so I could biamp my comps.

Thanks, Your a big help!

I think im going to get a mono amp and sub..And later amp the components.

But...Biamp? I guess im not sure on how the crossovers and all that work, So that might be part of it?

...Im new to this audio scene..But very interested..And willing to learn. I think it will be my new hobby here soon!

deja Wiz had a good setup there for the price , crossovers only alow certian frequancy range to pass through so ur not sending anything to high or to low to sumthing that cant handle it, basically it save ur equipment from getting recked from to low of frequancies or to high high high : ) a speaker only has a certian rang of frequancys it can play before it starts to sweat it and damage can happen and the crossovers help with only allowing that certian range to pass to the speakers ..hope that makes sence if not i failed at life again lol

You guys here are much better then some other forums I was at!

Makes trying to get into this stuff much more fun and easy with a group of people like you!

Biamping is only available to components that have the capability. It allows 2 amp channels to drive the mids and 2 other amp channels to drive the tweeters. Similar to running active, but through a passive crossover network instead. This allows the power to be set independently between the mids and tweeters. For an example on this, click the gain setting link in my sig.

OK, So Say your crossover doesnt have biamp cabibility...Then you just run the crossover to the amp?

Thanks again!!

you know what to make things simpler you should just get like a 125-150wx4 @ 4ohm.that would probably be easier .
Until I want to add a second sub..Thats the thing.

Im going with just a 10'' Type-S for now. Then goign to add another one and a amp for the speakers in a few months.
