Just ordered a Fi Q!!!

Well after searching the classifieds for weeks upon weeks and my little finical slump with the moving thing I finally took the Fi plunge!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif Gotz me a 12" Fi Q. I was reading up on the reviews on them off of here and SSA and was tired of looking at used equipment. So just went with something new. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Can anyone give me some feedback if anyone is running a 1 sub setup with the Q. Would love to hear what peeps have to say. Only seen one in ssa with the 1 sub setup. Just wondering was all.

Also what do you think I should go with. I listen to a lot of rock/alternative and once in a while rap. I want the best sound these give off, so what do you all think I seen the website say 2.5 at 32 hz, but the one kid running just 1 is at 4 cubes for it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif Dont want to go to big. 2.7 tuned to 28hz will be good for rap, not good for Rock/alternitive. I would go sealed if u listen to alot more rock than rap. I dont feel the kick drums like I use to with a sealed box, but maybe mine is tuned a little on the low side. But the bass from rap songs really hit the spot.

Thanks for the input guys. I do listen to very little rap, so probably would go more with the sealed, but still would like some more opinions. I just want what is best for the application I am looking into.

Also dont know who Scott is or NDMustang.

U can always try a ported tuned a little higher (32-34ish) cuse I think my tuning might be lower than most people go anyways.

I'm running my 12q in a 1.1 cube sealed plexi box with a dei 1100d...

No problems at all, very musical sub..just got it for something to listen to in the celica //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Still gets pretty loud for a single sealed 12 without loosing accuracy...more then enough to help compliment the music, and it'l slam down if ya feel the need to.

How do you think the one would compare to two of the Alpine Type R's on same electrical(Which is stock) and same rms, which I had 1000 rms on the R's and the Q will be given the same. Just wondering. I know double the cone, but I am hoping they will sound a shit ton better.

my 18 sounds good but the surround is like coming up where the screws are so it leaks air and bottoms out and sounds like *** and pisses me the **** off

I just ordered $400 worth of stuff for my dads suburban and the ****ing factory stereo is gay and now im really pissed and ready to just give up and throw it all away
