I'm not sure if it's because of my install or if it's because the components haven't gone through their 10 hour break-in cycle yet (Rainbow SLC 265 Kicks) but I am just not getting any midbass and the the speakers sound......hollow almost, if that makes any sense.
I don't have any pics up right now, but I have the Q-form kickpods for my 96 Cavalier coupe and I just finished up sealing them(molded the floorboard and then sealed them) and I also lined the inside walls of the entire enclosure with 2 layers of fat mat. This did help, but not as much as I was expecting. I do have one more spot I need to glass before it is completely sealed, roughly a 1/2"x2" hole, but I don't know if it's going to make much of a difference now. The inside volume is roughly .3 ft^. Should I through some polyfil in the enclosure?
Everyone says these things really kick and are very warm, just have not been able to get that sensation yet.
Perhaps the speakers won't have much of any midbass until after the break in period as I have only 2 hours on them now.
Any ideas on the enclosure or what might be my issue?
Thanks for the help
Jason
