Am I really in the wrong for securing my own interest before proceeding with a deal? Hopefully they will tell him the run number or anything else specific hen replying to his email. How does your birth sheet look? What do you think of the amp overall?

I doubt it is phony now. If it was I doubt he would knowingly sell it as such. You should also know from dealing on this site that feedback and refs should only be taken so far. I have seen some people here with long history just decide to screw many people. Hard times even hit the best of people. "since 05", I hardly consider 2 years, lengthy history either. Either way, I'm sure he isn't trying anything funny.
This is just the only red PCB power 1000 I have seen and the lack of the 2 resistors is odd as well. I do believe it is legit though and he may very well have a marketing demo unit.

well i understand people on this site suddenly becoming pricks even with good feedback and refs,but if they d ick you around they will only lose this forum's business,the guy on ebay would lose the world's business,i'm not naive to think the seller is an angel,i just doubt it's a scam good luck if you decide to buy it.

Tons of negative feedback and tons of new customers giving them money. There is a sucker born every minute. Its o.k, my sub could definetly benefit from more power but for now it gets the job done.

My LED's for the rear left are constantly on, i dunno what happened, its 2 lights from being at the clipping point.

I dont even have any speakers hooked up to that channel.

Thats odd. I'd consider an RMA. Or at least hook something up to that channel to see if having no load is making it do that. I wish the sub section were as strong as a belle, but the mains have plenty output.

How much is yours putting out for each section?

BTW: I was thinking some more and I have another reason why it is probable that this wasn't part of the 2500 run. These are 25th anniversary models. The reason RF went with Silver PCB was because 25th anniversary is the silver anniversary. Now why in the hell would they just decide to use red on a couple of limited edition silver anniversary collector amps?

Still haven't gotten a reply from RF but I doubt this was from the retail run of 2500. It has to be an early marketing version.

No idea, bought a used one from RF. It was cheap as piss though so i cant complain.

I guess i could test mine, ive got a clamp and DMM.
