just have a quick question about stock decks and using a low level converter

ok whats the big deal with using a low level converter to get rca's for a amp...does it make a big difference? other than obviously being able to use a aftermarket deck's equalizer and bass boost etc... but is there a REAL BIG DIFFERENCE?

All depends really. If its only going to be for a sub application a good low level converter or a half way decent amp with speaker level inputs will probably work just fine, and you probably wont notice much of a difference over lowlevel inputs. As for the mids/highs you really want a good lowlevel in signal because you get more distortion in the higher frequency range when you amp it with the stock amp then bring it back down and amplify it again.
