I bought a 2002 ford explorer XLS. I hvae a pioneer deck that i want to install with my speakers...The deck in the explorer is stock and is like one huge piece and it also has a 6 cd changer. I don't even know where to begin...is this going to be a pain in the butt? If anyone has done or knows how to do this let me know please! thanks!

or is there a way i can just hook my 2 x 12 inch dvc subs up to the stock deck? I just need to connect my amplifier control (blue wire) and my rca cable...would this work with the stock deck? if not, some advice on putting my pioneer in plz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif thanks guys!

I'm not so samart mokedaddy, what is the "dash bezel" and how do i pull it off? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif sorry! thanks for help tho!

As far as hooking up amps and sub to a stock deck it can be done...but you'll have to buy a LOC converter to do it...they convert the speaker wires to RCA's...I don't advise it on double size Ford radios because the amplifier chip in the radio is very very sensetive and you'll probally end up blowing one side

if you dont know how to do it then just called up crutchfield and they will send you a pdf doc of the step by step. you gotta give them a good story though. i use the "i just got a new car and i bought this deck from you" story and it works every time.

ok well i dont know what crutchfield is so haha sorry but it should jsut be a simple step taking that bezel off but i dont knwo if there are clips or if i can just put a screw driver behind it and pop it off or what????

If there are no visible screws, in general things in cars will just pop off and pop back on with no permanent damage. Just use a screwdriver (a rag over the end if you want to minimize scratches) and start in an area that looks the strongest and least likely to break. Then just work your way around and dont bend anything too far. You pretty much just have to feel it out, if it seems like its going to break or you're uncomfortable, just stop before you do break something and take it in to a shop.
