Just had a wreck...

glad your okay its funny seeing how fast you can rip out an audio system when need be. My firends motor blew up and we stripped the car in 10 minutes and it was towed to the junk yard.

Good thing you're okay. Insurance will take care of you and will probably settle with a decent sized reimbursement check. I've never been in a wreck but my old car (01 CL500) was totalled while it was parked and the settlement check was more than KBB and NADA values so I was happy. I was recently trying to sell the car too and they gave me 30% more than I was ready to take from a buyer.

As far as being a good driver... a word to the young(er). There is a big difference between being a good driver and being able to handle your car well. You might be able to weave through traffic, avoid obstacles, drift, shift fast, and impress your friends, but that has nothing to do with the well being of you and your fellow roadgoers. You should always be aware of the surrounding cars and the environmental changes as you are driving. Pay attention to the road 10 feet in front of you as well as 100 yards in front of you to realize what is going on. Keep an eye on your sides and rear as well to know when cars are approaching or retreating so that you can always make a safe, last minute maneuver if need be. You're not the only person affected by your decisions on the road so pay as much attention as your mind can supply.

Dang.. I've never been in an accident, though I should have on numerous occasions.. Today I drove up to witness a bike accident and I helped the victim until the paramedics arrived, his helmet saved his life. Op, just don't drive dumb.

OPie's dad, or professional lecturer? lol

**** man you save that M3 and batt?!
Got everything except the battery, I asked my dad if we were allowed take that too and he said that he wasn't sure, so we just left it,

Kind of ***** but what can u do, at least it was only about $250 not too bad

It's really kind of funny, out of the two other friends who were driving with me, im the safest or at slowest driver, seriously though it's definitely my own fault and i could have killed myself but more importantly my friend. I'm going to be a different driver after this for sure. Here's a better picture that my friend took

^exactly hahaha its seriously so sad that that happens, and it's happening to me. My dad was talking to the paramedics and they were laughing with him about it, they were saying that's what you got insurance for. Freaking pathetic though

is this a scan of a slide from one of those 70's projectors? Yikes!!

Wouldnt have happened if you were at work making money to pay your dad back for the car he generously spent way to much money on for a 16 year old.

On the other hand Ive been in 2 accidents since I was 16. Ill be 24 in October. Neither were technically my fault. One was were I was sitting at a red light and I saw someone approaching fast. The light turned green and she never slowed down. I start going and she gets about a foot from my rear bumper. I tapped my brakes to warn her and she didnt back up so I just slammed on them in the middle of the road. She hit me and had the nerve to ask for my insurance. Her Honda Civic bumper was laying on the ground. My Grand Prix was fine. Not even a scratch.

Second incident was similar. Going through a construction zone so it was stop and go traffic. Some guy was in his company van and was stop to close. I couldnt even see the headlights in my rear view. So once we start going I go with the flow and he is tailgaiting. I see a couple cars up hit the brakes so I slammed on my brakes and he hit me in his company van. Got his employeers phone number and vehicle number off the vehicle and he ended up losing his job over it. This happened in my new car about a week after I bought it.

I actually do work as much as I can, I bag at a grocery store, minimum wage, but I think I'm going to be promoted to a cashier soon. The photo is from instagram btw. Almost as soon as my dad showed up I told him I don't care how long it takes but I'll pay him back every penny, he's glad that he bought me that car though, this is exactly what he bought it for
