Hey...I'm new and I'm not an car audiofile expert. I've got a 02 civic and just got deck, amp and subwoofer installed...I have an alpine 9885, rockford 500w 2-channel amp, and alpine type-r 12". I was just wondering is there anything I should/could do to tweak my components so I can get the best sound quality achieved from each my components..also if anyone knows if the expanding insulation foam I can get at home deopt, etc is any good to get rid of the trunk rattle or should I get dynamat. Finally I want to add speakers but don't know which ones I should get...I listen to a lot of RnB and some hip-hop so I want great vocal sound. Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum. As far as your sq goes, your going to need to play with your deck a while to hear what sounds best for you. First you want to set your crossovers. Start out with your hpf for front on 80htz subs lpf about the same. Its a good starting place. It takes alot of tweeking to make a system sound good rather than just loud! Adjust your lpf on your amp between 60 and 80 htz for your sub and make sure your feeding that type R enough power by checking your gains. That type R should pound hard in that Civic. Good luck to ya!
