Just got my SE in

Well finally, the beginning of my first system has started. Today, the package carrying my RE SE 12 arrived and man is it sweet! I would like to thank KillCrap for selling me the sub, and such a quick shipment. I have a temporary box to use, but I'll need to build my own here shortly. If someone could make a box plan for me I'd gladly pay. and whats gonna run the thing? got a smooth 800w to bump it with?

ported box you say? whats the max OUTER dimensions you wanna put it in?

well....see the problem is, I have to wait another week before I can get an amp because of money. I had a kicker 400.1 that I was gonna use, that I let my friend borrow, and now the amp has no output. I had called kicker to have a look at it, but the amp isn't under warranty anymore and the price to send it, have it checked, fixed, and sent back I just said the hell with it and buy a new amp. what would you guys recommend to power it with? I was thinking something in the 600-800 watt range. I've tried to look for amps, but it's nearly impossible to choose from all the amps available. I just can't make up my mind. BTW, I won't be porting the box I will have to keep it sealed b/c it's going inside of a truck and space is a little limited. I'm taking out the center seat so that I can have a lot of room to work with. I'll take some DIM's later b/c I lost the previous ones that I had. anyways thx for the comments =)

well if you can squeeze 2.5ft^3, you can use that port size\depth

i bet i could do it with fiberglass while using the center console. but you may have a different level of skill with this stuff than i do.

but its a sweet sub, and i hope it turns out for the best. i want a 12 (pair maybe) so bad. but im going to wait for my next car.

try the amp im using. Directed 1100d - 800w @ 2ohms. perfect for that sub. and you can always upgrade and wire to 1 ohm and pull 1100w then. ~220 on ebay i think. directed is the parent company of PPI and ORION now just for refrence.

anyone else have suggestions for amps, good bang for the buck type thing? I'm looking around no more then 350 or so max.

and if its small enough and sealed, you could wire it to 1ohm (is it dual2 or dual4?) if its dual2... or just bump the 800 to it.

great amp tho. pumps like a champ, and hardly breaks a sweat on the hour drive to work.
