On the 880, its in the same set of menus as the clock and the auto open stuff.

Turn it off, hold multi control down. If its an option, it would be in there.

It's not an option on the 7800/780 unfortunately.

that sucks. how much will that interfere? i have a pair of morel hybrid ovation components in the front that has been tuned perfectly and I am not sure if this HU is no longer an option. let me know. does the 9800 have the ability of turning off the internal amp?

it does **** that you cant turn off the internal amp but the More I become familiar with it, the more I like it. Best HU to date for me.
