My comment was more directed towards SPL and situations where the sub is being highly overpowered. Just something to keep in the back of your mind.you mean on the single 12 box... that may not be an issue as my buddy is just a minimal daily bumper and I dont believe it will mess with anything.
Believe it or not I prefer setups that peak high; lows are overrated, imo. With my current setup the highest that I've gotten it to peak was 44 hz and it's making me miss my 50hz setupsi believe my tuning is a bit below 50 hz right now, which puts my peak in the low/mid 50's, which may be pretty decent for this car and type of setup...
I am to a point. For daily I prefer a flat response so that the sub plays more musical, but for SPL a high peak feels more uncomfortable to your organs than a low note. I could sit in Snoopdan's truck that does low 150's at the headrest on music at 33-35 hz all day and the low note doesn't phase me. But, as soon as the song hits a strong high note my lungs start to feel a little weirdweird.. never heard anyone say high freq > low freq..
unless they're a meter humper.
i'd rather sit in mid 50's @ 29-35 hz. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifI am to a point.
