Just do it right the first time.

To all you cheap bastards out there, do your shit right the first time.
I'm a broke/starving college kid who spends all his money on audio, but as much as iv'e spent I regret not doing things right from the start more than anything.

First I had a Type R, which I thought would be loud but wasn't what I was hoping. I really wanted an HDC3 but couldn't afford it.

Now i'm finally getting a BTL, but in the process of getting here iv'e owned a Type R, Fi Q, IA Lethal Injection, and in the process lost a crapload of money from reselling. Not to mention having three boxes sitting in my room I have no use for. And having to rerun wire through my car 3x to handle more power.

Moral of the story: Don't be cheap. Just get what you want. If you don't, you'll end up like the rest of us who are never happy and want to be louder all the time, which will cost you even more money. Of course, that is all the fun of being here on CA.com //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif I always wanna be louder, but mine problem is finding a car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif lol

I got my setup exactly how I wanted it the first time, didnt have much of choice on a vehicle, but hell I'm doin pretty good, a 146 on the window in a like 20ft long Chevy G20 van with only 1800watts

the key, for me at least, is getting gear at a good price to start with. makes it much easier to get your cash back when the time comes to upgrade / sell. buying package deals from people who need cash is a good way as well. i already got 25% of my last purchase back just from selling the extras that i did not need to begin with, and when the time comes i can easily get at least my cost back when i sell off the rest of it.

I'm VERY happy with my current set up and don't plan to change it until I get another vehicle. Sounds good and gets plenty loud, but it did take a few upgrades to get there...
