just curious..400wrms front stage too much?

kewl, if your indeed in PA thats a hell of a drive.
Yes, its a long and terrible drive.

All well. I'd honestly love to hear what that much front stage sounds like but maybe I'll just have to wait for someone who isn't 2500 miles away to show me.

My buddy has 900 to 1100 on his mids and highs.....B&C's and Seleniums
i was just about to comment with pro audio speakers its not that far fetched, when you have B&C's that'll take 300w each, its very do-able. There are plenty of guys over at diyobile audio running over 1k to their front stages... if you run 3 way active and aren't running over 600-700w i'd be surprised

lol

i love it when you guys get all riled up. I do indeed run 3 ARC Audio SE4200's bridged on the front stage AND the GAINS are all bottom the fark out. It is all (in my case trying) to eliminate any noise floor and have headroom from hell....it is all about the dynamics. Now realistically, 500wmrs continuous power is probably where it is at 80miles per hour going down the road, but the 1900wrms in reserve sure makes the music seem real.

technically the three amps are rated at a total of 2400wrms on my front stage. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

almost bought some of those awhile back when my buddy was a diamond dealer
They are very nice, but that tweet needs alot of love to get it sounding decent, it is very harsh/loud, but the detail is amazing, staging and imaging is pretty good as well, running those 125.2 in dual mono helps with that I'm sure

I'm with you, gains down, mucho headroom, amazing dynamics

since a few of us are lying I wanna play,I have 2 of these bridged to my front stage.http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/product_details.asp?item_id=95249&locale=en_US

Btw I know you guys have it on tap I just don't believe your speakers are taking it

I only used about 800w at most for my last setup... the whole setup. The whole thing. It was amazing and massaged my balls nicely. I don't care to brag about the wattage I use or have on tap because I don't need to make up for my dick size. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Those Diamonds of mine are quite the beasts, I've never seen a set of comps take the power these do for the last 2 years, and not die. I love them.

So, the best thing to ask is does it sound clean and clear or is it just loud?
Clean, clear and loud as fawk. It's hard to describe, but I will try. When you sit in a car with a typical set of comps hooked to a typical amp, and you crank it up, the distortion makes you turn it down due to discomfort, correct? Ok, now imagine NOT having the distortion make you turn it down, and being able to go louder and louder...CLEANLY. It's tons of fun, trust me

Did I just "learn" something?

I feel a new project in the making!

I too noticed this when I finally hooked up my first amp that is actually nice up to my first set of comps that is actually nice.

I stepped up from basically an all powerbass setup to what is in my sig now and wish i had just started with this //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

The new Diamond HEXPro seem to be almost the same, except for a fabric tweet, but same xover, and mid, I honestly dont know if they have the same balls to the wall performance, but I imagine the tweet sounds alot better than mine, and is easier to tune in.
