just bought a pioneer 6800

hey i bought a DEH-P6800MP last night and got the XM tuner with it for 275.00

package deal

have gottin it hooked up yet so havent been able to really play with

any one else got one whats everyones like and dislikes with it what should i lookout for

or should i have just spent the extra and got the 7800 or 9800

i think release date is some time next month, I'm getting a 9800 for a good price. You should be fine, with what you got.

im not going to be doing any sq or anything just daily listening and spl so out of the deck i loked at it was the best one i had alpine as of now but my remote wire went bad i've had it for about 6 years it is a cdm-78** cant remenber the axact model but it did the job so i hope the 6800 will perform well enough for me

the new alpines i looked at really sucked (the glide touch) and a bunch of low end 130.00 dollar decks

well i did look at some of the new ones i know the glide touch is gone but they had one. the new ones they had, none had a motorized face and i kinda like having that feature and by the looks of it alpine doesn't have to many models with that feature in my price range

it seems that all alpine has now is the low end 150.00 dollor decks or the 400.00 and up decks no 200.00 to 400.00 dollar range which is what im looking for(judgeing by the msrp prices on the website considering all prices will be less)

which alpine unit is comparable to the 6800 so i can take a look

well got the pioneer put in last night still playing with it and figuring out the features and how i like the settings one thing i thought was cool is the digital battery voltage read out it has, not sure how acurate it is but i asume it is within a couple of decimals

I have the Pioneer 6700 and really like it... The 6800 is just this years version of the 6700 from what I understand.. You should be pleased!

I have the 680mp. Got it off eBay brand new for 217.45. GREATTTTTTT deck. Makes my one sub (blew a VC on the other) sound louder than the both of them on my other deck I had. I recommend the crap outa it. THe 680(0) is the 77's of last year. Just like my friends 770mp.
