Same thing happened with my l7 if you bought it from an authorized reseller and have your receipt and it is less than a year old, you can ship it to kicker for the cost of shipping for a new one.

it popped cuz i was free air-ing it with 800 rms.hahaha. its cuz both of'm made popping noises at a really high volume so i took one out and free-aired it.then it just went pop and i heard the vc scraping.

no my fault completely, but i was getting mixed vc readings, so i took it out and did the test. kicker reccomends a 1000 rms amp with these two subs, and kicker amps are under rated. i had it connected to a soundstream rubicon 1000d and it was on the verg of popping both of'm. so yea. kickers a pos

how do u know it was gonna "pop" em? was the amp setup correctly?
