Just a quick simple question *Kx2500.1*

Does the Kx2500.1 fan come on at startup or when it reaches a certain temp? Ive got it hooked up but it doesnt seem to come on immediately so im not really sure if its working or not.Thanks guys.

It should come on right away.

Edit: Did you add the fan to your original post? I don't remember seeing that in there.

Yeah,Ok so maybe the fan is bad or something because it doesnt see to power up right away.

Does the amp work fine othwerwise? Maybe open it up and check the connections to the fan.

How long does it take to come on?

Yeah amp works great otherwise,the fan connections were good and im not sure if the fan even kicks in at all I havent been able to check until i can get my H/O alt installed to really play it a lil more than 5 seconds at a time lol

Ok So I checked the connection to the fan,When I power the amp up you can see ti spin for one split second meaning there is power going to the fan,Im guessing it only turns on when needed.So I ran the fan to where the power led used to be hooked up so the fan is always on when the amp turns on,do you guys think that will be ok since i dont use the led for the amp anyways?

The fan could pull quite a bit more current than an LED. I wouldn't do that without being sure the power LED output can handle whatever wattage that fan requires in a worst case scenario. the led output might not give the fan enough voltage to really get it moving well, too.

So I should just hook it back up like it was and hope its really doing its job? I guess I havent played it enough for it to come on,it normally doesnt even get warm because its only less than quarter way up with no bass boost of course.
