well this happened on a few templates i installed. the problem is that whenever i would click a link on my joomla site, the next page would just load the the content. no images or anything. i will provide a pic. anyone know what the problem could be? this only happens when i click a link on the site. the front page is fine.

In the index.php of the template uses

"<?php echo $mosConfig_live_site;?>/templates/rhuk_solarflare_ii/css/template_css.css"

(I only have the stock template)

for the URL to the css.

So I would look at that first to see if it is useing the "index.php/templates/..." or "templates/..." for the URL.

I have a very old ver "1.0.15 Stable" and it looks like you have "1.5".

So I am going to get the new one, install it, and mess with it to see how it loads the templates.

It looks like the template system is runing inside a class, so I don't know what $this-> is.

The stock templates are useing,

to form the URL.

I see you are using mod_rewrite for the URLs that mite be part of the problem to.

Do This:

Go into the admin and go to the Template Manager click the template you are useing, click the edit HTML Button at the top right, copy one of the links for the css and post it here.

So the mod_rewrite was the problem.
Search engines dont care what the URLs look like, people do.

It looks like you got it working.
the mod_rewrite was already off. then when i turned off search engine friendly URLs, the problem was fixed.
