Jlaudio, kicker, mtx, soundstream,Amp for subs?

Well I have been running 2 orion gx2150's bridged to run 2 12'' subs. Both amps have finally had it, cap fell right out of one.

These are old amps and wer built very well.

Been looking for 2 new amps or 1 amp to run my subs.

I have been out of the industry for a while, so I need to know what is good for a sub these days.

I see all amps seem to be going to class d switching, something I'm not fond os as the dampning factor on d style amps is not great.

I see the g-max has a dampning factor of better then 500 at 4ohms.

So my questions are,

How is the quality of jlaudio, kicker,mtx soundstream?

I've been looking at,

jlaudio, gmax

kicker zx1000.1 or 2 zx550

sounstream tra560.2

What would you guys reccomend, a mono amp into a 2 ohm load, or bridging 2, 2 channel amps into a 4 ohm load.

IME the JL a-, e-, and g- amps are very good for the money. I'd get the g-max and run it at 2ohm.

i have a kicker zx1000.1, does the job well, has never shut down on me yet.
