i got a nissan sentra and i have the box facing the trunk lid. Dont get me wrong but rap really pounds hard but other music like reggae calypso and some rock doesnt sound dat good unless i do some bass boosting:naughty: and i dont like bass boost when i go back to rap i gotta turn back off bass boost.

i had two 12s first in a sealed box that JL suggested, then i built two ported boxes to JL specs and it sounded much better. it was deeper and louder. what kind of amp are you using? i sold them to a guy and he hooked up one ported sub to a kicker kx1200 and the gain was turned down, he played some hawaiian music, kinda like reggae, and the ****a pounded hard. I was standing by his passenger window of his suv and my ears were tickling.
