JL W6V2 and HD750.1

Is the new JL HD 750.1 enough power on (2) 10W6V2 Subs. This amp puts 375 watts into each sub which seems about right to me. Also, does anyone know if the JL 750 has been tested and what the actual ouput is. I remember seeing a test on a slash 500/1 and it was putting out well of 600 watts.

IIRC, the JL Audio amplifiers are STRICTLY regulated and will do RATED power or a little more. When you see an amplifier like the 500/1 producing a tad bit over 600 watts in a bench test it is usually at a single frequency (i.e. 80 Hz) and/or a slightly higher distortion figure.

If you already have the HD 750, it should be enough. Most differences you would actually hear between 750 watts RMS and 1000 watts RMS would be made up in your head! After all, in a perfect world your output difference would be about 1 dB since doubling the power output theoretically gives you an additional 3 dB in SPL output.
