JL W3v2 VS 05 Alpine Type-R

I always thought that the w3's were better than Type-Rs until I heard a few setups of each of them and if i could open my PM's I asked a guy that said he was selling two w'3s and he switched to two type-r's he said the type-r's were alot better.

if i could remember correctly, type-r = output. im just looking some pure sound quality with a hint of spl.

i also see that you have an 12" type-r...out of the 2, which of the 2 would you say that have better SQ? and was it a drastic difference?

Look at an Image Dynamics IDMAX or Diamond D6 im sure some other people know other subs. A Type-R will have enough SQ for the average guy. Unless you have a high powered high quality set of front components, a nice SQ sub wont be a big deal at least in my opinion.

JL Audio produces some very high quality subwoofers.... I have ran multiple configurations even with r type alpines.... I personally from experience would go with the jl audio... very clean sound.... nice even response throught the musicical chart.... althought type r's do pound as well... JL Audio..... creates a symphony with one sub.........
