Jl W3's compared to Alpine type R's

I want to hear comparisions of these two.... I was at a friends playing poker, and his bro had 2 10" Jl W3, the newest versions in a sealed box w/ 200 rms to them. How would these compare in sound, loudness, etc., whatever categories you want, to my 2 10" Alpine Type R's. I havent finished my install yet, so i just want to know how mine will compare to these. I am putting 300 to mine, maybe 350.

Ive owned multiple w3 setups not w3v2's. And have installed quite a few Type R's. W3's win everytime especially when they start seeing about 450-500 watts each.

I bought from http://www.indoaudio.com A pair of 10's were 220 shipped. One of my subs had a bad gasket but that was an easy fix. I just ordered an amp from them tuesday. It arrived less than 48 hours later.

I have heard both and the jls are a touch louder but almost identical speakers. Theres a guy right up here selln 2 jl 12w3's like new for 200 i think.

Actualy, they go for $199 at my local shop. So there the same basicly.

i got 3 10 inch w3v2 in my jeep wrangler powered by a JL 500/1 amp and i will gaurentee that they are louder than 3 type r's now ther jl audio is pushing 600-700 watts rms...so very loud....
