The W3's are only rated for 250 watts rms. The 15's might be 300w rms, but I'm not sure. They can take more, but they'll do just fine with that power. I would never use anything less than 3/4" material to build any sub enclosures (if possible).

hey well i just checked jl's site and they said it handles 400rms

the idq handles 450rms

Oops, I was wrong about the power then. But the W3 will still spank the IDQ in SPL imo.
