JL Slash V2s...

sleek and clean like your lego set of a car?
ouch!

and that is an incredably old pic of my car which has gone through several transformations since then and in which i no longer drive anymore anyway

now have these been realesed in certian area or still a prototype? when are the scheduled to hit the market?

Slash v2

1) Significantly improved thermal performance (50% longer time to thermal than Slash v1). This is largely due to a new mechanical design with a monolithic fin and transistor mounting surface (one big cast part replaces four cast fin modules and one extruded bar on a 500/1, for example). A new clamping method for the transistors also helps improve thermal performance and reliability.

2) The 250/1v2 will no longer have a preamp output. It will have a jack for the RBC-1 remote bass knob, which the v1 lacked.

3) The 500/5 will be replaced by the 550/5v2 which is 75x4 + 250x1.

4) The v2's are slightly shorter in height than v1's (by 0.1 inches) but otherwise have the same dimensions and mounting hole pattern.

5) The v2's incorporate stacking functionality into the end cap design. Stacking will be accomplished with separately sold hardware kits specifically designed for twin or triple stacks.

6) A multitude of small tweaks to circuitry in several models aimed at improving performance and reliability.

7) Revised cosmetics and packaging

Other than that, they are just like Slash v1's.

haha i knew it had to be cooling!!! my 1000/1 gets purty hot, but its never shut down cause of thermal yet... all i know is they are makeing one one the best amp better and i'm excited to see/hear one in action

beside that those amps are so good any improvement is purty much amazing... betch they end up expensive though till the v1's die out
Yeah, not so much. They are good amps, but somehow I doubt improvements will give the v2s earth-shattering performance. Good all-around amps. That's it.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif i didn't say they would give earth shattering performance ... i said any improvement on an amp that good is amazing... any improvements would include slight improvements... in other words they are makeing an amp that most people can't find a problem with... have LESS problems... they were obviously designed as the replacement line for the v1's so they made a very high quality amp better... that, in my opinion, is awsome!

I like the idea that you can stack them together now. I've always wanted a 2000/1, but JL won't make me one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Now I could stack two 1000/1s together... but that would cost more than most other 2000 watt amplifiers lol.

Yeah, that's a cool feature. Makes for a nice clean install.

They are talking about being able to physically stack them together to save mounting space, not strap their output.
