JL Settings??

Hey guys so just getting my Pioneer 980, JL 10W7, JL 500/1, ported box, installed and im wondering if anyone has the exact settings they set their amp to to have maximum performance sorry im brand new to this all and no very little about it this is my first system in my 1998 acura integra if anyone could help it would be appreciated

Asking someone else what they set their settings to will be absolutely zero help to you as the settings will be different for virtually every single install.

thanks for the help guys but just wondering im getting my stuff all installed profesionally and im wondering do they adjust it for you or do i have to adjust it myself??

If it's a pretty pro place, they should ask you for a CD of the music you most listen to. They will set the amps, X-overs, head unit to play your music to the best sound it can produce, and you will only have to touch the volume nob when you leave there. For me, I listen to mostly Rap and bass heavy stuff, but I also like Salsa and some rock (both classic and modern). So I burn a disc with about 7-8 songs: Two are rap/bass, one is techno/electronic (containing an abundance of everything in the spectrum, great for a final song test in listening to the overall balance of everything). Two salsa songs (mids/highs), and Two rock songs (everything).

That's always been my expirience. I've gotten all my systems done at Audio Advisors in WPB, FL. JC has been the guy there to set me up every time. He's been there for 10 years or so. They will be doing my next system going in middle of next month.

When I pick up my ride, we go over everything (The settings, why he set it like that, etc). We get in the car and "test drive" the system using the CD I gave him and from there I tell him it's just right, or let's bring the mids and highs in a little more, or let's get more bass, etc. But I've never had to adjust the way I get it from them much. It's pretty much set how it should be when I get it.
