JL loaded enclosure advice

First off, great to have access to knowledgeable advice.

I'm building a new system in an '88 VW Scirocco. It's basically a hatchback with a rear deck. I already own a JL 5 channel amp that offers 250W RMS @ 1.5-4 ohm to the sub.

I'd like to stick with JL. I'm not sure what to do about sub size, single or dual, sealed or ported, and whether to wire in series or parallel if dual. My budget is $350 and I've found single 8/10/12's and a dual 10in that range. Sizes and loudness aren't a concern as much as quality of sound for this application. Thanks for any input-

Stay away from the loaded enclosures. All they are is better made prefabs.

Just get a single 2ohm W1 and have a box built for it. Don't let anyone go off of JLs listed box specs. Go at least 2 cubic foot net airspace if you decide on a 12. If you don't want to give up much space drop to a 10.
