Better = Louder, or better SQ?

What one would have better SQ and witch one would be louder? I belive I will go with Louder

More subs do not always = louder. Power can have a big affect on the outcome also.

Ex.

4-12" subs with 1000 Watts total =250 Watts per sub.

2-12" subs with 2000 Watts total=1000 Watts per sub.

This is where 2-12's can give the 4-12's a problem, of course many things will factor in the outcome but they would be fairly close in actual output.

yea your completely right

i was thinking more along the lines of each sub having the same amount of power

ie 2 subs=200 watts per sub

4 subs=200 watts per sub
