JL Audio

JL Audio 450.4 and 1000.1 opinions. They seem to be good amps def a lot of $. Are they geared towards sq or spl?
totally reliant on the type of equipment connected to them....

JL is overprised in my opinion. . . //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wave.gif.002382ce7d7c19757ab945cc69819de1.gif

We all know that JL audio is a reputable company and you can't go wrong with them. I am not saying that you can't get something as good for less though.

I am looking to bi amp and that's why they caught my attention. I love the alpine sq but the digital gain is not allowing me to set them how i need. My pioneer HU has 5v pre outs and the alpine gain only has options of 2.5v, 4v and 8v. I currently have it set to 4v and Im able to crank the volume to full on my HU. I tried 2.5v and had clipping. So if i were to go with the Jl and replace my alpine amps i wouldnt loose any sq?

Build quality on both are great. I owned 2 Px300.4s and I loved them. Both will sound great, do rated power and then some...

Your not going to be dissatisfied with either one. If you already have a JL amp, get the 450/4. If this is your first...grab the JBL. its different, not to common, and comes from a company just a reputable as JL...
