JL Audio ZR's-Look at these beauties!

I'm excited. They just came UPS today direct from JL Audio!

They were on backorder but now they arent!!!!

These will be going along with 4 JL Audio 12W6V2's in my F/S Ford Bronco!

It's going to be loud and clean as you would want. I can't wait.

These things really are top notch....from pure output to amazing sound quality...these have it covered.

I think they retail for about $800/pair. I can't say what JL sold them to me for. I have an agreement with a local JL rep. firm. They are able to use my vehicle for a demo as they need and JL helped me out with the product quite a bit.

They are the JL ZR-650CSi's. They are 6.5 inch speakers. The tweeters are hand matched. When I get time I will take some more detailed pics.

it seems like you are big into SQ. if you get a chance, listen to the zapco competition components. if you get some serious power behind them they sound absolutly amazing.

hand matched meaning that a human places them in a box with the mids. no company, especially JL, would take the time to hand match every single tweeter in a regular production line.

that seems like way overkill. i jsut ditched my three JL amps.

They match the tweets within 1db of each other. It is not a widely known fact, but most "high end" components tweeters are lucky to be within 3db or more.

By the way...this isnt their "regular production line"....these are thier flagship components. They do not do this on any of thier other lines. Baziiiing.

yea, and when you put a 2 ohm load on a JL slash series amp, it puts out less power than it will with a 4 ohm load. that is because it reduces output slightly to keep itself from overheating. that is also a little on the false advertising side. nobody is ever going to go through the trouble of sueing JL over the hand matching deal, i just find it hard to believe that they would waste time and money on it.

and an

Orion NT 200-Midranges

Orion NT100-Tweeters

I HAD considered using these amps but thought that maybe I should keep it all JL. I am undecided as of yet.
