JL Audio XR650-CX

I was in a car audio shop over the weekend and got a demo pair for $40. I've always heard folks talkin down about JL nonSub speakers but I thought how bad could they be for $40.? I put them in today powered by a CrossFire VR302(75x2RMS) and these speakers Rock real nice. I've got no problem with there sound quality. They have good mid bass, smooth mid range and nice highs.

I'd say there worth the going rate of $150. easy! The sound a lot better than a pair of Boston RM6 coax's that I tried last year. I dont know that they'll play as loud as the BA's but there way more pleasant to my ears.

How do they sound compared to the boston pros?

They're not even close! but the pro's are in my runner and I put the JL's in my old Toyota PU. For bass I've got a Bazooka tube with a BA eight that sounds really good.

I've got a little too much power (600 watts RMS) on the sub but it sounds great!

My second 880 is the HU with two Crossfire amps.
