would it be louder to have 1 12" jl audio W7 between 2 13W7's? or would it be louder to have 1 13W7 between 2 12W7's? all on the same box with rated power. box seperated between chambers of each sub. ported box. yada yada yada

but price isnt the issue i've heard and like the JL W7 line i've been extremely impressed by them plus i'm going with all JL audio (subs and amps)

Why don't you get three of the same, instead of trying to mix two different sub sizes? Or are you aiming for a wicked design?

dont listen to him!! haha. there would be no point in getting a 13 and a 12. If you were going to do anything....get 2 13's on the outside and get that new 8w7 for midbass. Id die to have that setup.

well i want 3 subs in the back. This is going int the back of a '98 dakota where the rear wall used to be. i like the look and sound of the W7's and already have a full component set with kick panel so i have the tight crisp mid bass. this is just for the "bump". i was thinking of just going with 3-13W7's. sound decent?

12w7's and 13w7's arent much the same..except for the 1 inch difference..making the 13w7's having a 3 inch air movement advandage all together if you go with 3, but it money is no issue sure go for it...or send some of that money my way man ill gladly use it for ya //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

dont mix....secondly, you say money is no object, but understand what your getting into....

3 13w7's.....1.5-3 grand (dependant on where you buy from)

3000 watts of rms power ......3 grand

most likely a new alternator, second battery, caps (probably something like a 15 farad one) ect...theres a lot of cost that i dont know if you have thought about yet....if you got the money go for it, 3 13 w7's is ****ing wicked...i wish i could afford more than my one 12w7! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif There are new 8 w7's comeing out that will be badd ass, but dont combine them, you wont even hear it....you want mid bass drivers up front if anywhere. ps.....jl's project car only has 2 13 w7's.....it would probably be enough, but if you got the money and want that setup, i say go for it.

i already have a new alternator and a second alternator od the same size. i think 220 amps. i have all the install equip. batteries, caps etc. the only thing i still need are the subs and amps and my system will be ready for install.

The XXX's would absolutely rape the JL's. The Jl's will be better in SQ, but the XXX's still have decent SQ. Brahmas have good SQ too...
