im a SQ guy, i guess thats why i like JL so much... i paid 90 for the W0V2 and i was the first person in my county to have one. im still the only person in the county that has one...

Here's what happened.

E-commerce slowly made its way to car audio. Many big name brands like kicker and mtx started to see the internet change the way business was done and let it begin to change how they did business from a corporate standpoint. JL refused to change with the times and rely on their stellar product and reputation to keep their business strong. Those that are loyal to JL find it admirable to see them resist being changed by the internet. Audio enthusiasts that aren't loyal to brands and/or are budget shoppers despised JL for not following the other companies by lowering prices and keeping product quality high.

So since most people here are not brand loyal and/or are budget shoppers, JL isn't very well liked here. I didn't even mention all the new "internet brands" that have popped up and have low low prices because they only sell online cutting out wholesalers and shop dealers.

its a 10, thats all i wanted at the time. and i beleive that whatever sub you are talking about will outperform the JL in SPL. JL isnt about SPL, its SQ. and thats what counts IMO.

There are plenty of sub's other than JL's that are geared towards sq as well while being much cheaper than simliar JL products.

Try the Fi Q, RE SE, Mach 5 ixl, list goes on.

Nothing against JL, i'd gladly trade my Q for a W7, but given that my Q retails for less than 1/3 what a W7 does, not a hard decision to make imo.

no shit that is why the IDMAX blows them away. They are about equal then you get to the price and repair price and it's no contest.

JL is worth the money.

That's opinionated. JL is good, I wont argue that, but what I will argue is that better could be had for less, case in point: JL12W7 vs TREO SSi12.XX

I, for the most part, pay for what I can afford. If it's ebay or the store. I *TRY* to buy from the local store to help support them, but half the time it's hard to do so.
