Jl audio or DD

Ok I'm new to both of these companies and just want a little advice or help in going in the right direction. Ok I have heard that jl's are great for sq. And I heard dd subs are just monsters. I'm really into lots of bass with a descent sound to them but most important is the bass. I can get 6 jl audio w7 12's for 1400 and we know dd's are expensive but I was gonna do 4 of the 9515g's. I guess I wanted to know would I be happy with the jl's for spl or more so with the 9515's. Also what kind of power should go to those jl's would 1 1000/1 to each pair be enough or should they have their own 1000/1. I already know what power I would put to the dd's any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Why would you want to use three 1000/1s when a single 3KWP is just as powerful as all three combined...and around the same price as one of them?

Just buy a couple dual 1 ohm or dual 4 ohm 18"s, man. You don't need $3,000 worth of subs & amps to get loud...

Honestly I'm not a big fan of 18 inch speakers buy I understand what your saying. The only thing was it was some dd9515g's on here for sale probably for like 900 shipped I was gonna do those two and call it a day when I know this guy with the 6 jl's and I'm like why nor spend 500 more for 4 more speakers and really could probably talk him down to like 1200.

You admittedly like big bass, but you don't like 18" subwoofers? Please explain the logic behind this.

If you can get the W7's for $200 apiece, buy them. You can easily flip them for a pretty good profit (if they're in good condition). But no way would I invest in 3 or more JL Audio 1000/1 amplifiers. That'd be extremely stupid...

Ok it's something about 18's that I just don't care for I know they are probably loud just like 12's and 15's also I would agree that 3 1000/1's would be stupid but I was under the impression that jl audio subs worked best with there own amps becaus of the ohms they run at.

Also not comparing just was asking for some advice on the right direction based on what type of car audio listener I am which I stated. I heard of jl's being great with sq I was just wondering would I be happy with the spl from 6 for the price I'm getting them or would it be better to spend more money and get 4 9515g's. That's all

Um, what? They are louder than equivalent 12's and 15's...ever hear of "there is no replacement for displacement"?

Before I even answer that...have you even considered what three W7's will wire down to?

I would get the JLs if, and only if, you can get them at the price you stated...

6 W7's would be a waste but for that price I'd buy and sell. Whats wrong with 18" subwoofers? Going for that much power with a lot of little amps seems ironic. also, where did you hear DD is an spl sub?

You do know that 18" subwoofers can sound just as good as 12"s and 15"s, right? I assume you're believing the myth about 18"s sounding sloppy and being "too slow". It's just that, a myth.

JL subs will work just fine with any amplifier that provides them enough power at the proper impedance. Any 1 ohm stable amp will work just fine @ 1.5 ohms.
