i just bought this thing, its brand new in box. i thought i was going to use it but i got an audison bitone, which has a sub level control in the dash remote. this has 2 outputs at 7.5 volts rms, and 1 is variable via the remote

its a line driver, it boost the rca signal. if your deck has weak rca signal ie about 2volts, like some alpine units. this will boost the signal to a max of 7.5 volts rms, you can then run your amps at a lower gain to get a cleaner signal. also there is less influence in noise on your rca when you run a higher signal voltage. with this unit you can use 1 input of rca, and get 2 outputs, one is fixed, the other is variable with the knob which can be mounted up front with a 20 foot cord.
