I have a JL Audio 500/5 amo with a 1.5 farid cap 2 JL 10 dvc with a sealed box avic n3 tricked out head unit alnog with all MB quarts befor they switched to junk stuff now.... thaks what i heard dont hold me to it.... all the speakers and subs are being powered by that amp some times the amp tends to cut out.....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif then it wiil come back to full power... i also have a 4 guage wire with 50 amp glass fuese runnig it all.... what is your guys honest answer? it only does it f i am pushing the system is this normal? or do i need a better cap .... when i an looking at my battiery running it shows 13.5 volts i look back at the cap it only reads like 12 to 11 when the system is bumbin?

Bigger wire would help, i think you have a loose connection somewhere causing the low voltage. A bigger cap wouldnt make enough difference to justify how much it costs.
I will check all the connections tomorrow and go get some bigger wire.. its not always about money not saying i am daddy warbucks but would a bigger cap help when it hits ? to store more power and delever a better hit? i will get back you tomorrow and let you know what i find i think the amp is getting to hot also and i think thats why its going in to safe mode... Thats what i have been thinking.. also i need to buy a new battery for another car and the one thats is in this car will fit it.. so i need to buy another battery what is a good sugjestion beside an optima? i think optima's are over rated imo... i have had more than one of them and they have been turds.

go spend 20$ on a multimeter and youll be able to figure out exactly what it is. They have them at walmart, its called a digital multi meter, made by e-tec or something like that its yellow in color. One of the best tools you will ever learn to use.

I have one already..... and i know how to use it Master Obi One

I would also up the fuse.

4ga can handle 125amps, I would put a 100amp in place of the 50.

May also be a loose connection on the battery or on the the terminals

check your grounds to make sure they are tight
