I've tried two subs with 2cubes sealed...didn't really care for the sound. Tried a single sub ported with 1.5cubes @28hz sub sounded really loose and sloppy. Then I built a box close to JL's specs; 1cube @32hz and used a subsonic filter @30hz 12db slope(not 24db) and I couldn't be happier.

I figured they would be pretty spot on with their specs... Ill think about picking one up to try out but need to get some custom 8's I have sold first...

JL suggests tuning at 38hz...which is pretty **** crazy for a driver this size. Built like a true subwoofer as well, not a glorified mid-bass driver. They're accurate as hell.

I'm not quite catching your drift...

I have owned a total of three 8w7ae's...two have sold. The first was quite some time ago, don't really recall when exactly. I just sold the second one last night. The only JL subs I have left are the remaining 8w7, a 13w6, and a pair of 6w3's. I'm currently running the 8w7 in my new car...but I may put the 13w6 in there if it doesn't sell...it's way too much subwoofer for my car, but that can be fun sometimes.

Yeah. Someone came outta the blue and bought it. If you're serious about it I do have a second one. I don't really want to sell it but I have a 13w6 that doesn't seem to be selling...so I may put that in my car and let the second 8w7 go. Deal is the same $240 plus actual shipping @20lbs.
