now i heard that these two combined can make an outstanding sound together, but i have yet to experience it. ive been trying to tune the **** thing for the past TWO DAYS!! everytime i turn up the volume it sounds like the bass just completely dies out. im starting to think that the amp or sub may be defective

12w7? or 10? Check your subsonic filter if its ported, Check gains, and other eqs.

i had the same problem.. what kind of head unit do you have

my shitty head unit only has 2v pre-outs and thats what was causing it to do that

^ its a kenwood kdc 117....and its a 10"

so whenever you tried to increase the volume the bass would completely die out? what did you do?

nothing.. yet...

im buying a new head unit though.. i hooked my amp up and my 12" l7 for a friends car with an alpine head unit and it didnt do it.. it sounded 10 times better actually

yeah dude with that head unit you need a new one.. becuase your in the same predicament as me with only 2v pre outs.. actually i think that head unit actually only reads at like 1.5v even tho its says 2v

so i should upgrade my HU? ok ill try that out then cause i was about ready to sell the woofer and the amp LOL i just put my W3s back in lol

Yea my headunit is 2volts and my setup sounds fine... Is it ported?

ok so i decided that im just going to sell the system...id rather just keep my w3s....i dont have the time or money to be dealing with this problem anymore...if you guys no anyone who interested in the setup let me know
