JL Audio 12w7 or Phoenix Gold Ti12 Elite

If i could have any subs right now i would get 2 x 13w7's sealed and 2 x jl 1000/1 amps.

JL might be expensive, but the W7 can justify the price for me..

Too bad, so sad.. i'm going to have to "settle" for a 12" mag... darn. hahaha

And you know all of this, because you know of the exact windings of each coil, correct? Also, you have dumax'd both woofers, yes? I'm assuming you have hours upon hours of direct testing with both woofers to back up these blatant claims that you are making, right?

I have heard about 20 W7's all were done differently and different enclosures. I liked the SQ but the SPL was weak. Then again though the W7 wasn't made for SPL, so. As for the PG Elite titanium yes about 3 times I have heard this woofer, once at a audio express sound off, they also had a audio show, phoenix gold happened to be there showing the new elite. They maxed it and everything!

so, to answer my question, you have no in depth experience to back up you claim of power handling, considering you have never personally tested the mechanical, as well as thermal power handling of either woofer. Also, you have never tested the paramaters of either woofer to help the points you have tried to convey. And lastly, you have never done any head to head compression and power testing to draw any sort of conclusion about either...

steve has heard the pg and the w7 and says the pg can't even hang w/the mtx or tdx

w/that being said the w7 is a better choice.....

I have the Phoenix gold Elite sitting in my closet now in a ported box don't know specs on ported box though. But yeah I can take a pic if needed to prove I have it. I have heard the W7 in about 10 different installs and SQ is nice but not SPL. And the only reason I took the PG out of my car cause I needed trunk space. But yeah the PG will out do the W7 in SPL by far but SQ will probably lose noy by alot really close in SQ. And when I mean really close it's close lol. Don't get me wrong though the w7 is still a great driver but if you want more SPL and still have almost same quality of SQ from the W7 go for PG. But put at least 1k watt RMS to it.

I would say Ti over W7 too. PG makes better stuff than JL i think
