JL Audio 12W6V2 Tears in outer ring is this hard to fix?

I purchased this used for $150. Overall it looks to be in good condition, however on the outer rubber ring there is two spots where there is tears one of them I can fit my finger in.

Is this major? Will it affect the SQ? Is it hard/expensive to fix?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I assume you are talking about the foam surround? The only thing I can think of is to use a little bit of black silicone and put it on the back cide of the surround and see if it holds. It prob wont be a sq issue but you dont want them to get any bigger.

I don't think its too bad, but definitely want to get it fixed, so the sub will last a long time. So black silicone should do it?
