*JL Audio 12W3v1 vs. 12W6v1 (Final Decision...Please Help)*

I decided to choose between the JL Audio 12W3 (version 1) subwoofer and the JL Audio 12W6 (version 1) subwoofer.

I need your guys help.

Here are the specs:

12W6v1



I have a 1.8 cu. ft. vented enclosure tuned to 30 hz.

Im looking for the most efficient sub that plays low bass with authority.

-The 12W3 v1 will be receiving 400 watts RMS (is it too much for this sub?)

-The 12W6 v1 will be getting 300 watts RMS

Please help me out.....any advice/opinions will be appreciated

these all both old school subwoofers.......they are not the newer models

I have used both of those old school models, definately was more pleased with the W3's. They get pretty **** loud off low wattage. In a 3.6 cubic box ported to 30hz, he got 2 of them to hit 146.9(on the ac meter) off of 400 watts(200 to each sub).

yes...and?

tried graphing it on winISD

they have similar output (SPL)

but....the group delay on the W6 is considerably lower

my amp is underrated and produces 400 watts @ 2 ohms

I have been reading and it seems that these W3s are also underrated.
