Do you know if they work well in a sealed box? So the Dcon are a good mixture of sq and spl.

Yes and Yes.. Equal SQ and more SPL then the W3.. Aleast the pair I got to play with did. Im not a fan of any sub JL under the W6 so keep that in mind. And the DCON is US built unlike the W3

I was just looking at their website and the dcon are fairly cheap, I really like the look of the icon model! But I did notice the dcon only handles 300watts rms, and my amp puts out 450, would that sub be able to handle the extra power w/o blowing or having any problems?

It will handle more then a W3. 450 will be fine if its clean, even more so sealed
