[dont know too much so bare with me..... ok i have a 2004 dodge ram quad cab with 2 10 inch rockford fosgate hx2's running off a memphis 16-St1000d amp(1200 watts). i had a custom built enclosure made by a local dealer and the subs sound pretty good for being in such a small space, but i wanted something a little deeper and putting out more thump. i dont know if theres not enough space for the hx2's or not. i just recently won an auction on ebay for 2 practicaly brand new jl audio 10w3-d2's for $195. i did some research and those subs are said to work really well in tight spaces. my question is the w3's better than the hx2's? which one will give more carry outside the vehicle? i can barely hear my bass right now outside the vehicle, and thats when i have the bass knob all the way up. need suggestions..... thanks

I have a pair of 12" hx2s and just bought a set of 10" JLW6v2's. The HX2's by FAR have more punch and bass. In fact...too much for me. They hit really hard.

I live in a really nice neigborhood and my nieghbors did NOT appreciate the HX2's.

:)
